HOW TO STAKE
1. Pray
Before you stake, pray and ask God where He wants you to stake, and if there’s anything specific He wants you to pray about in that place. Ask the Holy Spirit to direct where He specifically wants the stakes placed in the ground.
If you’re inquiring about somewhere off of your property, ask Him if He wants you to do so. If He does, then ask Him where and when to go specifically.

2. Gather tools
You’ll need:
-
Stakes with Scriptures written or printed on them
-
Hammer
-
(Recommended) Long screwdriver (10 inches or more)
-
Bag to carry your supplies

3. Pray on your way to the location
Whether walking, biking, or driving to your location, invest the travel time (no matter how short it may be) in worshipping Jesus and praying through some of the verses on your stakes. Also, ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind any specific verses or matters the Lord wants you to pray about while you stake!

4. Make pilot hole
Hammer your screwdriver into the ground in the place where you want to place your stake. This will make it easier to later drive the stake down, and will reveal any stones or objects that would damage your stake. You may need to reposition and make another pilot hole if you run into an obstruction.
(Best practice option) - you may wish to also carry a bottle of water with you. If the soil where you’re staking is very dry and hard, a little water where you pilot and stake may help the stake drive more easily!

5. Drive stake
Once you remove your screwdriver from the pilot hole, hammer your stake down until it disappears beneath the surface of the ground (continue praying as you do).

6. Gather and go
Gather up your tools, and then go to the next place you’re staking.
