Does Praying On Site Make a Difference?

Wed, 05/21/2014 - 12:57pm -- Rob
Recently, a friend invited me to join him to prayer walk a school prior to the start of the school day.  Despite beginning the morning very early, we shared a rich and powerful couple of hours in prayer together as we prayed through classrooms, locker rooms, hallways, and more!
Later that afternoon, my friend called to report something he heard from a school administrator during the day.

With a tone of surprise and a touch of amazement, the administrator said, "Wow.  I can't remember having such a smooth, easy-going, opening day of school as I have today!  I've heard others comment similarly around school today too!"

Unbeknownst to them, their building was saturated in prayer that morning!  Christians and non-Christians, alike, noted a difference in the place- even if most couldn't determine exactly why.
I've begun asking the Lord, "What would our nation look like if Christians personally and purposefully sought out opportunities to pray each day and week (with neighbors, teachers, First Responders, and even strangers- without concern of what others might think)?  Would we see a change in our nation and schools?  Would we see a change within our churches and culture?  If God blesses a school when two men pray through it, what greater things might He do if more of His children purposefully prepare their hearts and pray?

Ask the Lord to provide you an opportunity to pray on site with someone, somewhere, this week.  Then follow through and pray there!
