Once it was the blessing, Now it is the Lord;
Once it was the feeling, Now it is His Word.
Once His gifts I wanted, Now the Giver own;
Once I sought for healing, Now Himself alone.
Jesus, as recorded in Luke 11, shared a hypothetical, yet realistic, situation with his disciples.
It's been said that one who prepares to teach or train others is often the one who learns the most. While I don't know if that's always true, the Lord is teaching me a lot about developing a deeper fellowship and relationship with Him as He continues to help me prepare OnSite's prayer training and prayer discipleship model!
One thing He spoke to me about this morning is our "life lenses." Life lenses are how we view God, ourselves, and the world around us.
We live in a day and age where many people exercise for health, appearance, and happiness. Many who do so wear heart rate devices to monitor the speed of their heart rate as they run or work out. If the rate is too high or low, they change pace to bring it into a safe or more comfortable range to prevent injury or worse.
